Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am currently watching a Christmas movie on Netflix and am planning on putting up my Christmas tree later. The movie I’m watching is called The Christmas Chronicles. So far it’s really cute! This week I also watched Princess Switch on Netflix. It was a sweet movie.
Along with good movies, this month has been full of good eats for the cold weather. One of my favorite meals to make is chili. It’s relatively easy to make and it lasts me a whole week. I recently made the Easy Creamy Chicken Chili from Little Broken. It was delicious and I will definitely be making it again! I also tried a restaurant called Raijin Ramen for the first time. I highly recommend it! I ordered the chicken ramen with a side of spicy garlic. Very filling and perfect for the cold weather!
After filling up on Ramen, my friend and I headed to World Market. They are in full swing Christmas mode! I always love looking at their trinkets and seasonal candy items. The one picture I have for my blog post this week is from World Market. I always forget to take photos. Luckily I took a photo of the Christmas themed Milka. If you haven’t tried MIlka chocolate before, I highly recommend it! This time I tried the Milka bar with chips ahoy. They have a few delicious variations. Their Christmas themed packaging makes the candy the perfect stocking stuffer.
I have tried a few other food products this week. When I did my shopping at Sprout’s I picked up their brand of PB & J bites and from Trader Joe’s I picked up their peanut butter granola bars. The PB & J bites are a great snack and the granola bars were perfect for throwing in my purse.
I also tried Caramel M&M’s this week for the first time. I can’t believe this is the first time I tried them. They are so good! I will probably be picking these up the next time I see a movie. Peanut M&M’s have always been my favorite variety, but I think the caramel ones have them beat!
If you are in Tucson and enjoy iced tea, I highly recommend trying Transit Tea. It’s a food truck, or a guess a tea truck. They come to my office once a week. I wish they came more often, but it’s probably better for my bank account that they only come by once a week. I love treating myself to my weekly iced tea.
I have had a couple of fun adventures this week. I am currently looking for new succulents for my porch so I stopped by a couple of the local plant nurseries. Mesquite Valley Growers is close to my house so I have been there a couple of times. They recently remodeled. They have a good selection of plants. One of the employees helped us out when we were looking at the Bonsai trees and she was very knowledgeable. The other garden center stopped by is called Green Things. It’s a little farther north, but it’s worth the trip. They had an excellent selection of succulents and pots. I also read that they offer classes.
I spent another weekend morning browsing books at the library book sale. I went on the 50% off day. They had an incredible amount of books. I didn’t end up buying anything, but it would have been a fantastic way to stock up on Christmas presents for the book lover in your family or friend group.
I am currently reading Fall From Grace by Danielle Steel. This is a great story so far. I also found a new Podcast this week called Mouthing Off with Olivia Caridi. She is from the Bachelor World and interviews a lot of past Bachelor contestants.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
