The start of spring has me wanting to head to Green Things plan nursery to pick up some new succulents. I am trying to fight the urge though! I have a very busy weekend so far. My goal was to buy a new car before summer. I have been looking for months. I have test driven a few different cars and have researched a few others. I finally settled on the Subaru Crosstreck and I love it! I was able to drive it a lot today while running errands, and I am so happy with how it drives. Car shopping sure did make me hungry. I stopped by my mom’s house on the way home and brought lunch for the both of us. I had the Club Lulu from Jimmy John’s. I highly recommend it!
Here is how I have been spending my time this spring so far:
Delicious Eats & Treats:
Raspberry Sorbet from 47 Scott: I had heard about 47 Scott a while ago and finally gave it a try for dessert. I actually didn’t know what flavor of sorbet it was going to end up being. The menu just read Sorbet and I didn’t think to ask what flavor it was. I was pleasantly surprised! The serving is a good size and it was so yummy! 47 Scott is downtown and it would make a great spot for a date night.
Avocado Sliders from The Dutch: These were amazing! Instead of buns for the burger sliders, they put avocado in the shape of buns on the bottom and top. I believe it came with 3 sliders. Each one had different toppings, which I thought was a good touch. I would definitely order these again!
Frontera Chicken Fajita Bowl Frozen Meal from Whole Foods: This may be the best frozen meal I have ever had. I added avocado and it was delicious. I picked up this again today when I went grocery shopping. They have different varieties and I may try something different next time. I saw they also have family-sized frozen meals that look good.
Siggi Triple Cream Raspberry Yogurt: Yum!
Kitchfix Grain Free Granola Original Mix from Whole Foods: This was so good! One of my favorite granolas of all time. I topped graham crackers with peanut butter and this granola. It was delicious! Next time I am going to try the cocoa strawberry variety .
Whole Foods Frozen Penne: This was an easy dinner and it lasted me for two meals. The sauce is just the right amount of spicy.
Baked Oatmeal from Bisbee Breakfast Club: This was super filling. I loved the apples.
Keeping Entertained:
Walk, Ride, Rodeo: Excellent movie on Netflix! It reminded me of the Horse Whisperer.
Your Favorite Things Podcast: I had been thinking about starting this podcast for a while and I am so glad I finally did. It is a lot of fun!
Christopher Robin: I watched this on Hulu and it was better than I was expecting! It was a very cute movie.
Miniature Museum: This was a fun way to spend a couple hours. I believe they have a scavenger hunt for kids that seemed like fun. I saw kids hunting for various Faeries.
Once Upon a Time: I finally finished the series! My favorite portrayal of a character was Anna from Frozen. The actress did an amazing job! It is the same actress that plays Beck on YOU. Such different characters! I would probably have been okay without the last season. It was really confusing.
Northern Rescue: I finished the first season on Netflix. I really enjoyed this show!
Pretty Little Liars The Perfectionists: The first episode aired this week and it is off to a good start! Seems like there is going to be a lot of suspense and drama.
The Village: This is another show that just started. I really like it so far. I thought it was interesting that a lot of big story lines were introduced in the first episode.
Three Dark Crowns Book: My supervisor and I decided to have a reading race. She read a book that I have already read and I read one of hers. I really enjoyed this book. It is a trilogy and I have started the second one. There is a crazy cliffhanger at the end of the first one. Having race was such good motivation to limit screen time and spend more time reading!
Manifest: I have has this show on my To Watch list for a long time and have finally gotten around to watching it. I am six episodes in and am hooked.
I am looking forward to having a more relaxing day tomorrow!
