Dutch Bro’s finally opened in Tucson! It is within walking distance for me. The lines have been out of control, but my friend and I figured the lines couldn’t be as bad as the lines were at Cedar Point. We stopped there after dinner the night after we got back into Tucson. I had the iced chai tea latte. Surprise! It was as good as I remember. We had treated ourselves to Beyond Bread for dinner. It was Wednesday, which means my favorite sandwich was the special. We ordered one Pete’s Pepperoni and one Sonny’s Chicken. We split the sandwiches and both were delicious.

After eating amusement park food and ice cream all last weekend I figured I should meal prep a kale salad. I bought a rotisserie chicken to use in the salad. I tossed in sweet potatoes, strawberries and pumpkin seeds. I have been eating it the last couple of days and haven’t gotten sick of it yet. I love having a big salad stored in a bowl in the fridge. It makes it easier to pack lunch and it’s nice not having to make dinner every night.

Along with ingredients for salad I also picked up almond butter packets, Bear Naked Pumpkin Granola and granola bars. I am obsessed with the Justin’s almond butter packets. I have been topping my smoothies with the Bear Naked granola and it is amazing! I always have a box of the Kind Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chewy bars in the house. I take one of these with me to work every day. I will either eat it in the as my afternoon snack or before I go to the gym after work. My other favorite Kind bar is the almond coconut one.

Speaking of the gym, I am trying to get back into my workout routine. My gym of choice is Chuze Fitness. I have gone to the yoga classes a couple time. Usually I find my workouts on Pinterest. My Pinterest is pretty unorganized. You’ll find brownie recipes on the same board as ab workouts. Right now I have just been walking on the treadmill and doing some core exercises. I always drink a ton of water while working out. My Bubba water bottle from Target keeps me hydrated.

I was so happy to see that the new season of Younger is streaming on Hulu! I binge watched the entire season this weekend. They always end on such a cliffhanger! I can’t wait to find out what happens next season.

This weekend I also spent some time reading. I am currently reading “All the Single Ladies” by Dorothea Benton Frank. It’s okay so far and it is a light read.

In between watching Younger and reading, I stopped by Home Depot. I picked up two cute little succulents, potting soil and a pot. I put my gardening tools to good use and planted my succulents when I got home. They look great on my porch!

While I am sharing what I have been up to lately, I figured I’d tell you about a few of my favorite Tucson finds. Before Dutch Bro’s showed up, my favorite coffee shop in Tucson was Tucson Coffee Roasters. Their chai is pretty good and I love the atmosphere there. I have spent time there doing my homework and I was able to stay focused. Every drink comes with a chocolate covered espresso bean – a sweet touch! I also really like black crown coffee. They have a iced chocolate chai that is yummy. It’s chocolate milk with a kick.

I also wanted to tell you about Sew Hip. I love this local fabric shop that offers sewing classes. I have taken Sewing Machine Basics and it was a great class. The cost of some of the classes includes the materials. They have sewing machines there for your use or you can take your own sewing machine. This is what I did. I had been gifted a sewing machine for Christmas and hadn’t used it yet. We made a pillow case and we were able to pick which fabrics to use. The instruction was easy to follow and the teachers were very helpful. Taking the class made me excited to start sewing more projects. I bought some fabric for placemats and tried sewing at home, but I wasn’t able to finish. Bella was also excited about sewing and wanted to help. I may need to find somewhere to sew where she can’t attack the thread or the pins.

Have a good week!
